New value-size Baby Yoplait yogurt specially developed for baby's first food For the first time, Baby Yoplait yogurt is now available as a natural yogurt in a larger, value-size 500 gram tub; ideal for parents who are looking for affordability and want a great first-food for their baby. Kate Di Prima, Accredited Practising Dietitian and mother of two, recommends a baby's first introduction to solid food be mild and gentle. “Baby Yoplait yogurt is an ideal first-food for babies as it has a unique mix of milk proteins that more closely resemble the protein composition found in breast milk, when compared to regular yogurts. This protein balance of around 50% casein and 50% whey protein makes Baby Yoplait yogurt more suited to tiny tummies, helping to aid digestion and smooth the transition to solids from breast milk or infant formula,” said Kate. Specially formulated for babies and toddlers six months and over, Baby Yoplait natural yogurt is perfect for tiny tummies on its own or mixed with fruit such as mashed banana, avocado or stewed fruit, and vegetables such as roast pumpkin or baby cereals. “Baby Yoplait is all natural, free from preservatives and colours, and importantly, has no added sugar. It contains only the natural sugars found in milk and fruit, so as not to encourage a sweet tooth. It’s also full of essential nutrients such as protein and calcium required for growth and development.” Kate added.
“The new, larger value-sized tub lasts for a number of meals. You can get around 5 serves of Baby Yoplait from the tub (based on 100g serve), or just use however much you need. The natural yogurt is an ideal base for mums to add other foods to help babies receive nutrition from a variety of food groups, as well as introduce new foods into their diet,” Kate said.
