New, Healthy, and Convenient Frozen Food for Babies

Bub Grub ™ - made by professional mums, for mums.

Finally, Aussie parents have a healthy convenient baby food alternative to home cooking. Launched Friday, 16th May 2008. Everyone wants the best for their kids, but it's difficult to always prepare healthy meals. The New Bub Grub™ range offers convenient, portion controlled, and nutritional food for babies.

Unlike regular shelf stable, commercial baby food, Bub Grub™ is not heat-treated. Bub Grub™'s dietitian endorsed premium ingredients, are only gently steamed, then pureed to the optimal texture, packaged in adorable, convenient and reusable tubs, then snap frozen to retain all the goodness of a home-style meal - with maximum nutrients, taste and texture maintained, with NO additives, preservatives, sugar, salt, flavouring, colouring, thickeners or other fillers added.

Health experts do not recommend the use of shelf stable baby food on a regular basis - as it's texture, taste and nutrition have been compromised with heat treatment. Researchers are currently investigating potential health implications of heat-treated foods. Bub Grub™ is only gently cooked, has been snap frozen and it's packaging prevents nutrients being lost.

Working parents find it particularly difficult to prepare nutritious meals every day. Dr Katrina Warren is particularly excited about Bub Grub™, "I'm a dreadful cook but I want my baby Charlotte to eat healthy food that she enjoys. My time is so precious these days, and Bub Grub gives me more "me time", to spend time doing things I really love - like spending some quality time with my dog Toby" says Dr Warren.

Bub Grub™ comes in 10 great flavours, from single ingredient smooth puree first foods, through to complete courser puree meals for older babies. There are also loads of recipes on the Bub Grub™ website showing how versatile each product is. Bub Grub™ has been developed and endorsed by an Accredited Practising Dietitian with the help of a leading food economist and chefs. So rest assured Bub Grub™, is healthy and tasty!

"Our aim was to make Bub Grub the most convenient, healthy, tasty and texturally ideal baby food available on the market", says Homestyle Nutrition's Dietitian Manager - Joanne Turner. "It's as healthy as freezing portions of home cooked baby food, but with the benefit of a dietitian to create the perfect mix of essential nutrients that babies need, using the freshest ingredients, and a team of chefs to make sure it's cooked to perfection.

Bub Grub™ 's adorable, convenient tubs are also dishwasher safe, with lots of reuse ideas on the Bub Grub website, and can be 100% recycled. The first foods tubs can be heated either in the microwave or conveniently fit in a bottle warmer. The Bub Grub team appeared at the Pregnancy Babies & Children's Expo, Sydney, on 16th-18th of May 2008, to officially launch the Bub Grub range.
