ADULT CYCLING SKILLS Sat 13 Jun
Description: Join qualified Cycling Australia cycling coach, bike educator and personal trainer, Geoff Nash, for a three and a half hour session designed for adults returning to cycling. This course is aimed at people who can already ride a bicycle but need help with skills that will increase their confidence, safety and enjoyment. It will also provide participants with a set of skills that they can take away, practice and incorporate into their everyday cycling. Specifically, the course will cover starting and stopping skills, scanning and traffic awareness, car clues, proper gear selection, helmet fitting, signalling and etiquette as well as safe cornering and emergency stopping. The training will also be tailored to incorporate skills to help avoid common cycling safety issues within the Park. Participants will require a bike (in safe working order) and a Standards Australia approved helmet. Meet at Centennial Square, off Dickens Drive
