Big Changes for Australian
Childcare Bookings
Childcarenow.com.au is a new website that allows parents
to book both casual and permanent childcare online at any time. Child
care centres can list live data of the days they have available (both
permanent and casual) which can be booked and secured by parents online
24 hours a day.
If a mother or father usually has Wednesdays at home with their child,
but a situation has arisen which requires them to attend work that day,
they can find out what the availability is like any time, book it and
get confirmation, even when the centre is closed.
"It is a simple process for centres to list the days which are
unfilled each evening before they close. Parents already registered
with the centre can then search the site after hours and book any extra
days they require. A big win for both parties," says ChildcareNow
founder, Sam Rosenberg.
If the centre is advised of children who are on holidays or sick, those
childcare days can now be made available to other families. This will
help create space for other families in need of additional child care
from time to time.
A parent looking for a permanent child care place (not already enrolled
at the centre) can also use the site to secure a place. They simply
go to the site and enter their postcode and a list of child care centres
registered with ChildcareNow in their area will be displayed. Availabile
spaces are listed along with the fees and other information parents
need to make an assessment. If they see a centre that has available
space they can secure that spot online. They will then be required to
follow this up by completing the enrolment process at the centre.
If it has not already, please encourage your childcare centre to register
with ChildcareNow so you can begin to enjoy the ocnvenience of the service.
