Professional clowns with an inspirational story

Peebo and Dagwood have been clowning professionally for more than 12 years. They perform live comedy magic shows, including tricks with their adorable pet rabbit 'Fifi', balloon sculpting, plus arrive in their one-of-a-kind 'cow car' which moos. Some of Peebo and Dagwood's most popular tricks are Fifi and the magic box, Rocky the racoon, the silk undies and magical whiteboard.

Peebo and Dagwood entertain children and adults - performing at children's parties and special events, through to adult parties, corporate and public events. They have performed more than 2000 shows which works out to:

  • entertaining more than 85,000 children (and adults)
  • making more than 150,000 balloon swords and poodles
  • pulled Fifi the rabbit (or her mum Phoebe) out of the magic box more than 1500 times.

Peebo and Dagwood are likely the most famous clowns in Brisbane and even Australia. As well as all the people they have entertained, they have appeared on TV shows Australian Story, Backyard Blitz and The George Negus Show.

Hidden under the make-up of Peebo and Dagwood are identical twin brothers Peter and David Bissell. Peter and David both have Cystic Fibrosis and living with the illness has taught them that life is precious and everyday is a gift.

The brothers each underwent life-saving double lung transplants in 2005. Organ donation gave Peter and David a second chance at life. They see this second chance as a gift to be cherished. The motto they have chosen to live their lives by is, 'Live life, love life and laugh'.

Their courage to overcome adversity and inspirational attitude to life has led to the brothers being invited to give motivational presentations to the employees and management teams of many large organisations.

Some of the organisations Peebo and Dagwood have entertained and presented to include Australia Zoo, Aussieworld, Telstra, Sarina Russo, Queensland Cricket, Birch Carrol and Coyle, Myer, Minter Ellison Lawyers, NIDA Institute of Dramatic Arts, Camp Quality, Star Light Foundation, B105FM and Nova106.9FM.

From their own experience they have found that laughter and having fun is the best medicine. They want to share the fun they generate in their own lives with others and they achieve this through their clowning.
