A Gateway To The Future
Inner Wheel is one of the world's largest women's
organisations whose members support local, national and international
communities through a variety of service opportunities. Inner Wheel
has extended to all five continents.
One of the main objects of Inner Wheel is Friendship.
This is fostered through many events which combine fundraising, personal
service and fun.
Internationally, Inner Wheel has consultative status
as a Non Government Organisation at the United Nations in Geneva, New
York and Vienna consulting on such committees as Status of Women; Human
Rights; Rights of the Child; Family; Ageing; UNICEF and Narcotic Drugs.
Inner Wheel Australia's national project, Cord Blood
Research, commenced in 2000. This project has generated funds for research
in excess $1.1 million dollars
