Sexy Mothers Turn Up the Volume!

In 2006 Lisa Ebbing and Ange Crosbie set out to turn the maternity lingerie world around with the creation of HOTmilk Lingerie.

The HOTmilk Lingerie concept began to take shape when New Zealand founder Lisa became pregnant with her first child. Lisa realised that she could forget about satisfying her stylish needs as she was now expected to embrace the unappealing and middle-of-the-road lingerie options on offer.

Based on the belief that expectant and nursing mothers deserved a better choice than the unexciting lingerie offered by mainstream brands, the spirited duo created a sophisticated and sensual alternative with a directional fashion edge.

Ange came on board, with a wealth of importing and exporting expertise, and the brand was born. "HOTmilk design exquisite lingerie to encourage a woman to feel self-assured and confident – whether at the boardroom table or sharing a private moment in the bedroom. A woman feels empowered when wearing gorgeous feminine lingerie" quotes Crosbie.

Lisa's advertising background was invaluable when it came to creating an ultrasexy marketing campaign. The initial response to the campaign was overwhelming with the brand receiving huge attention from the New Zealand media.

"I felt it was important to encapsulate the HOTmilk message showcasing sophisticated and dominant women. I wasn't prepared to adopt a conventional approach, I wanted to stimulate the senses", said Ebbing.

Part of the success of HOTmilk is that the brand is designed by women who have a strong understanding of what women want. Confident women who want it all: career, children and a passionate relationship with their partners.

As you would expect, Lisa and Ange are walking role-models for the brand. Lisa has just had her third child whilst Ange is expecting her first. The pair are proven examples that anything is possible with self-belief and that women today don't have to conform to the limitations of the mainstream stereotype.

Two years on and what started out as a small New Zealand business has quickly developed into a global leader in lingerie. The exceptional success of the company was highlighted when HOTmilk was recognised with the 'Best Emerging Business' award for 2007 in the Bay of Plenty region of New Zealand.

This early success is reflected within the brand's expanding international stockist list which includes Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Europe and with plans in place to enter the US market.
