Moltex launches new white eco nappy
A survey by Moltex the market leader in eco nappies has found that although parents love its high eco credentials they don’t like its beige coloured nappies. In a revolutionary step to meet market demand it has introduced a new white eco nappy while still maintaining its safety to the environment and baby.
Another factor which has contributed to this change is the increasing cost of the unbleached woodpulp it used.
“Their sole responsibility is to ensure the conservation of our planet and the safety of your precious bub. Moltex has changed to white eco nappies to meet market demand and to ensure parents don’t pay more for their eco nappy. Moltex eco nappies have always been designed with the highest environmental standards in mind and have now made the inner lining 40% biodegradable,” said Sinead Roberts, founder of EcoDirect who distributes Moltex.
The Moltex eco nappy is manufactured with more than 50 percent renewable resources from controlled cultivation and is 100 percent chlorine free. It is also awarded the prestigious Australian Good Environmental Choice Award (GECA) recognising it as the most environmentally friendly nappy currently available.
“While the nappies are now white it is important for parents to remember they still have the highest eco credentials and use no chlorine, synthetic perfumes or lotions so babies remain safe. Parents who would otherwise be put off by the colour of the previous version can now ensure that their baby also benefits from using a healthier nappy,” adds Sioned Guard, co-founder of EcoDirect.
The packaging used in the Moltex eco nappy is 100 percent biodegradable maize starch and easily breaks-down in the compost within 8-10 weeks.
The new white eco nappies retail for $28.95 and are available online, in pharmacies and health food stores. For more information on the Moltex eco nappies visit www.ecodirect.com.au
