Inky Feet began in 2004 when Brenda Farr (a new mum!) came up with an original idea to make personalised newborn keepsakes both modern and affordable. Unlike other products on the market at the time, the Inky Feet range was able to capture baby and children's footprints and handprints in bright funky colours at a fraction of the cost. The pieces are both functional or ornamental and make the ideal family gift.

In November 2004 and with 6 month old Tyler in tow, Brenda presented product samples and brochures to local parenting and maternity services who were excited to see something new. They placed tiles on display in support of the new business and willingly recommended Inky Feet's services.

Franchising Inky Feet was always considered the best way to promote such a hands-on service to a broader market so early in 2007 Inky Feet Wembley (WA) opened its doors.

Almost 2 years on and nine franchises later, Inky Feet is now creating affordable, hand crafted keepsakes for parents all over Australia. Families in Melbourne, Sydney, Townsville and Perth now have access to this unique range.

Inky Feet is also giving families an opportunity to find their work/life balance with a genuine, family-friendly, home based business.

Today, the original Kardinya Franchise is still operated by Brenda Farr and the addition of other franchises has contributed to the overwhelming growth of the distinctive Inky Feet brand.
