Pinky McKay's Johnsons Baby Powder Tips for the Beach
Sandcastles, sunscreen and sandy feet are all part of a day of the beach but with JOHNSON’S® baby powder, hard-to-remove sand is a thing of the past.
A simple dust of JOHNSON’S® baby powder soaks up the moisture on you and your child’s skin, making sticky sand easy to brush off. Using JOHNSON’S® baby powder will keep your car, home and your children sand free and comfortable all summer long.
After a day at the beach, dry off your child as much as possible and shake the excess sand from towels, clothes and shoes. Place a small amount of baby powder in the palm of your hand and rub onto their skin. The baby powder will quickly absorb moisture and the sand will fall away.
JOHNSON’S® Baby Powder and resident parenting expert, Pinky McKay shares five quick tips to use as a check list before you and the family head out and enjoy the sunny, summer weather:
- Make sure you pack a bag with enough protective clothing, water and healthy snacks before heading out to the beach
- When it comes to hydration, children need similar fluid levels to adults, however they are more vulnerable to the effects of dehydration. They have a lower capacity for sweating and as a result, they overheat faster than adults. So encourage children to drink up
- Have your child take hydration breaks every 15-20 minutes while playing outside or participating in a sports activity
- Take a picnic including nutritious snacks such as cut fruit, sandwiches and cheese slices to help replenish energy levels and foods with a high water content including oranges, watermelon, celery, lettuce, grapefruit, grapes and cucumbers
- Pack JOHNSON’S Baby Powder and high factor sunscreen for every trip to the beach to keep your children safe from the sun and sand free this summer
