The Wiggles new interactive virtual world for preschoolers - www.wiggletime.com

Website created providing preschoolers worldwide with internet access in a safe, educational and advertisement-free online environment

(Sydney, Australia) The world's premier children's entertainment group The Wiggles has officially launched its fi rst interactive website WiggleTime.com.

Created for preschoolers and their parents, the website is a virtual world providing a safe online environment to learn and play. It doubles as an educational resource centre for parents to monitor their child's development and keep up to date with parenting news.

"We're giving children a fantastic online Wiggles experience that's exciting, fun, educational and safe," said Blue Wiggle Anthony Field.

Children and parents have their own distinct areas on the website. The children's section of WiggleTime.com is advertisement free and kids can't interact or communicate with other members who are logged in.

The parents' section is password-protected to prevent children gaining easy access.

As well as games and activities, WiggleTime.com off ers preschoolers monthly video clips and offline activities like drawing and colouring-in.

Each game played on WiggleTime.com contains cognitive, physical and social elements to help educate child children. Parents will receive a monthly report about how their children are progressing on the site and can communicate with other parents via a free message board. They will have access to premium promotional off ers, competitions, merchandise discounts and presale Wiggles tickets.

"We've adopted a strong position on keeping the children's section of WiggleTime.com entertaining, educational and advertisement free," said The Wiggles' Managing Director, Mike Conway.

Australian teacher and early childhood consultant Kathleen Warren has worked with The Wiggles for more than 30 years and has been an educational advisor on the site, ensuring WiggleTime.com provides ppreschoolers with legitimate and high quality learning materials.

Registration for WiggleTime.com has free and subscription based options. Premium registration costs less than $8.00 per month and covers up to four children on one account.
