Your Shape and Michelle Bridges partner up for a new era in fitness gaming

Ubisoft has announced that Michelle Bridges will be the ambassador for Your Shape, a ground-breaking new game for Nintendo Wii that accelerates fitness into the future.

Developed by Ubisoft exclusively for the Nintendo Wii console, Your Shape is the first fitness game to come with a camera peripheral included in the box. Using Body Tracking Technology, the game scans the player’s bodies and then projects their image onto the TV, so that they see themselves appear on the TV screen alongside an image of a personal trainer. Not only will the trainer provide encouragement and guide you through your routine, but due to the body scan, they will also monitor your movements, and correct you in real time when you are performing moves incorrectly.

Michelle Bridges’ involvement with The Biggest Loser and her role as spokesperson for The National Body for Fitness Instructors has made her a much-loved health and fitness role model for Australians and an ideal choice to be the ambassador for Your Shape.

I believe that the variety of training sessions available will keep things fresh and allow people flexibility around how and when they work out – and all in the comfort of their own lounge room!”
Your Shape is designed so that the user is completely in control and they can tailor their work out according to their own personal preferences – choose everything from the duration of your work out, the music you exercise to and whether you’d like to use training equipment. All this while the Your Shape trainer tracks your progress, corrects your movements and suggests tutorials.

An exercise program will only work effectively if you do it right. Your Shape’s unique Body Tracking Technology follows your every move in real time, so that each minute invested is efficient and helps you obtain your ideal body shape.

Special features of the game include:

• Shape Selector - your coach will suggest you work on one specific part of your body. Choose among the fitness programs that the game offers based on your personal fitness goals..

• Physical Challenge - check your fitness level by performing a specific evaluation on a regular basis.

• Workout Calendar - choose the length of your program and establish how often you plan to work out.

• Varied Exercises - training sessions with almost 500 unique exercises featuring yoga, cardio, strength training, flexibility, and weight loss.

• Tutorials - if the Body Tracking Technology detects that you aren’t performing the exercises correctly, the coach can be asked to demonstrate how the move should be performed.

• Charting Progress - see day-by-day progress displayed graphically as you work out.

• Workout Equipment - compatible with your own equipment, which you can incorporate into your work outs.

• Music - choose your work out music from a large variety of music styles, including Latin, new age, chill out, techno, pop or rock (except for the yoga exercises that require a lower heart rate).
